Once again the weather was ideal for my second Master's Games event - the 10km walk. I managed to get away to a great start lea
ving the Caledonian Ground. I covered the first 5km in 34 minutes and was on track to do a sub 70 minute time for the first time. As I went out fast for the first half I felt the effects as I tried to keep up the pace. It was tough going up the Ravensbourne Bridge steps.
However I managed to finish in 69:32minutes a PB and good enough for a silver medal. There were five walkers in my age band.
