Eight Days of Non-Walking

Saturday 23 August

Having spent 8 days of not walking and missing the Clyde-Alexandra 10km walk it was a relief to do two walks this weekend. The soreness has gone from my foot so I walked from town to home after watching the Batman movie "The Dark Knight". I took it carefully and used by old running shoes.

Sunday 24 August

I took Denise to the airport for her to start a 3 week holiday in Perth with Ian, Janice and Shirley. We picked up Craig on the way. Having said goodbye I drove onto the Momona-Henley Straight and parked past the barrier arms. Craig had finished the Clyde-Alexandra walk yesterday so we decided to take it quietly. There was a frost at the airport with the temperature about 1.5 degrees. After half an hour, Craig felt his calf muscle tighten up so we headed back doing around 5kms. I walked in my newer walking shoes.
